On September 6th, 2024, Murrieta AYLUS members recycled their bottles.
Since it was a very hot afternoon, members tried their best to quickly and efficiently sort and weigh all the recyclables. After making sure each cap on the bottles was unscrewed, members poured the plastics and aluminum into their own buckets. After weighing, members earned a total of $9.81, which they will continue to save up and donate to their local animal shelter.

Reported by Caien(Daisy) Chen :
On September 7th 2024, Murrieta AYLUS members went recycling. They first counted and separated their recycling stuff into 50 water bottles and 50 aluminum cans which could be sold individually. Then, they had one bin for milk cartons and another for glass bottles. They lastly dumped all the remaining plastic into the last container. They then brought it over to the counter where they were all weighed and counted. Finally, the bottles where placed into plastic bags to be brought over to the recycling plant. They signed the receipt ( $14.30 ) and left with their trunk slightly lighter.
