On September 4th, 2024, two members of the AYLUS-Columbus branch, Brenna Li and Estella Li, resumed an in-person weekly tutoring session for the 2024/2025 school year at the Abbey Church Village in Dublin, Ohio. This community is part of the national church residences and serves low income families, including new immigrant families. AYLUS Columbus members helped 4 elementary, and middle school students with their math and English homework. The volunteers welcomed a few parents to observe the session and their interests in signing up their students for the program.
Essie’s dad, Jun’an Li, and Brenna’s mom, Dakun Wang, were the adult supervisors of the session.
