On the evening of September 2, 2024, sixteen members of our Frisco Plano Branch volunteered at Russell Creek playground in Plano for a fundraising event. We set up the tables selling boba tea, shaved ice, and cotton candy. Things like backpacks and pillowcases kindly donated by local vendors were also included for sale. We aim to raise funds to support our “Loop for Love” Project, where we will provide chemo-hats for cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy.  We were focusing on selling our goods and talking with our customers, and promoting our organization to the people walking by. We had some new members join us for the first time, and some member’s friends came to support us by buying our cotton candies and boba tea. After selling for two hours, the sky was completely dark and there were fewer and fewer people in the park. We then cleaned up and wrapped up the sale.  Overall, the fundraising event at Russell Creek was a great success, thanks to the dedication and hard work of our volunteers. The following is the list of the volunteers.
