On 8/27/2024, Aylus Great Neck hosted another session to teach music performance to its volunteers’ peers.
Henry Xu helped tutor piano from 7:20 to 8:30 pm. During that time, Henry helped advance his student’s playing technique and agility through various exercises. Together, they tackled Suzuki, Fur Elise, and Czerny.
Ruiqi Liu helped teach flute from 7:30 to 8:30 pm. He worked with his student to improve their tone while working on her potential NYSSMA piece, the Tambourin.
After the hour, the volunteers said their goodbyes. Both students were engaged and had a good amount of fun!
