Since July 2024, AYLUS Pearland has been assisting Project Rise and Shine (PRS) in developing a responsive and engaging website to help users learn about PRS’s organization, mission, programs, and events. Volunteers Andy Shi, Aila Jiang, Katherine Wu, Jonathan Niu, and Matthew Niu began working on this project in July 2024.
In August 2024, Andy Shi and Aila Jiang reviewed the prototype implementation from July. Andy then developed the UI layout for all web pages and functionalities, while Aila prepared the text and gathered the necessary photos. Katherine Wu collected information on PRS events. Andy integrated this content into the web UI and adjusted the layout for improved data visualization. He also designed a database to ensure easy maintenance during the production phase. By the end of August, the website was fully functional with all key features implemented. Jonathan and Matthew conducted
thorough quality assurance testing, providing valuable feedback. Andy used this feedback to further refine the website’s UI and performance.
