On August 29th, 2024, members of AYLUS Oakland Gardens helps with PS 203 welcome incoming families. This was our 116th event, and it took from 12 PM to 2 PM.
The PTA at this school invited our branch to come make balloons for the kids, as they were having a welcoming event for the new students there. Our balloons were really popular among the kids during the welcoming event.
At the start, the principal came out and welcomed the kids. She also welcomed our branch, and then at the end, she thanked our branch for our help. Some of the most popular balloons were things such as swords and a more classic balloon, the dog. Some people also enjoyed the colorful balloon flowers that some of our members were able to make. Some lesser known gems were the swans and cutlasses.
We are very grateful for all the members that came to help at our event today. We really appreciate all the help that was provided to us by them. We would also like to say thank you to P.S. 203 for inviting us!
