On Sunday, August 18, 2024, seven members of AYLUS Chapel Hill Volunteers graced the halls of Carol Woods, a retirement community in Chapel Hill, with a delightful musical repertoire. The group of seven talented musicians included one clarinetist, three violinists and three pianists. The array of melodies presented to the seniors spanned the rich tapestries of the Baroque, Classical, and Romantic eras. The performers shared their musical passion and opened a window to the world of classical harmony for the elderly residents. We are thrilled that this harmonious journey will continue with performances scheduled for next month on the third Sunday, and following months.
Volunteers who participated in this event were Eric Sun (1.5 hours), Lucas Zhang (1.5 hours), Selena Wang (1.5 hours), Ryan Liu (1.5 hours), Andrew Zhao (1.5 hours) Daniel Liu (1.5 hours) and April Zhang (1.5 hours).
