On Sunday, August 11th, the AYLUS Houston branch returned to the Houston Food Bank for another impactful volunteer session. Our dedicated members focused on assembling senior boxes, working for three hours in what turned out to be an exceptionally busy day. With two assembly lines running, we were able to complete 18 pallets—a significant achievement that far surpasses our usual output in the same timeframe. In total, we packaged an impressive 22,275 meals, directly benefiting elderly residents in our community.
We are incredibly proud of all our members for their hard work and dedication. Their teamwork and efficiency played a crucial role in reaching this milestone, demonstrating once again the power of youth engagement in addressing critical community needs. We extend our deepest gratitude to both our volunteers and the Houston Food Bank for making this day such a success.
We eagerly look forward to our next opportunity to serve at the Houston Food Bank, continuing our mission to make a positive difference in the lives of those who need it most.
