On August 12th, 2024, AYLUS members had a beach cleanup on their local beach and park. As they circled around the park, they found plastic bags, cans, and a stash of papers. While the hot sun took a toll on the members, they managed to stay focused on their goals. As they went down to the beachside, they climbed down a trench where they spotted an unusually large number of clothing items scattered around the beach. While some items were left by the cliffside due to the fact that their owners might still be nearby, items nearly submerged by the sand were picked up and thrown away. They managed to safely dispose of all of the trash, taking a photo to commemorate the moment.
