On 7/28, AYLUS Great Neck took part in volunteering at the farmers market located at Firefighter’s Park. During the event, AYLUS Great Neck set up a table at the farmers market to raise funds for ACEing Autism. Our volunteers were involved in a variety of activities from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm. Some of the volunteers arrived early to prepare the table at the start of the day, ensuring that it was visually appealing and inviting to visitors. The setup included the display of our handcrafted products, which consisted of a range of bracelets, Lego creations, crocheted items, and paper flowers, all carefully crafted by our members. New additions to our booth included customized bracelets, free books, and temporary tattoos. There was also a Lego table that attracted numerous kids and allowed our volunteers to communicate with kids and parents about AYLUS. Throughout the event, our volunteers actively promoted and sold these items to the customers, discussing the purpose of our fundraising efforts and providing information about AYLUS and the services we offer. Moreover, our volunteers communicated to our clients about our tennis fundraiser tournament with ACEing Autism. By the conclusion of the event, we had successfully raised around $290 through sales and donations.
