On July 28th, 2024, 18 volunteers from the Frisco & Plano AYLUS branch congregated at the Frisco Public Library from 9:00-11:00AM for instructional and practice time. Our volunteers helped each other learn the basics of knitting including the required stitches used to knit apparel fit for future donation. Many of our community’s cancer patients that have underwent chemotherapy treatments have experienced hair loss, so our volunteers have devoted their time to create hats, beanies, etc. for these patients to enjoy. Great work to all 18 volunteers who came to participate in this knitting session!
