From 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM on Saturday, July 20, the Bellaire Branch of AYLUS volunteered at the Children’s Museum Houston(1500 Binz St, Houston, TX 77004).
The Children’s Museum Houston is a nonprofit museum that provides a variety of exhibits, galleries, and bilingual learning programs for children 0-12 years old. The museum recently received the National Medal for Museum and Library Service, an award for institutions that make exceptional and significant community impacts.
During this event, groups of volunteers led by the Museum’s Discovery Squad members were stationed at galleries around the museum. They provided assistance by cleaning up objects around the exhibits and engaging with visitors.
