On July 13th, AYLUS Pearland provided an art lesson for the community’s kids at the West Pearland Library. After the students voted to draw an image of a cat and a dog standing next to each other, Iris Yang led the students in building proper techniques and studying the image so that they could draw their own. Halfway through, the students enjoyed a brief snack and break time. Afterwards, they were given the option to outline their work and even color it with color pencils.
Overall, the students were able to complete their own drawings of the cat and dog, and they were all able to interact with each other and gain more insight on how to observe pictures and drawings.
