On 7/16/2024 and 7/18/2024, AYLUS Great Neck continuing to host two tutoring sessions for students in the Great Neck Library Station Branch.
On 7/16, Xingzhi Li and three middle school students made a learning group. Xingzhi Li taught two students learning math, other one student listen to their conversations and participate in their chats to practice english speaking. Yuhao (Henry) Xu helped a middle school student reading and writing.
On 7/18,only two participants and two volunteers were presented, however, the session went septacutly for both participants. Xingzhi Li helped a middle school student with math and Chinese as she wants to learn her course before she takes them. It is a success with practice questions reinforcing her theories of new mathematical concepts. Kylie Lam helps with the reading comprehension of the other middle school student throughout the session. That also went terrifically well as he have been coming to the tutoring session multiple times building on his foundation of English reading comprehension for quite a while now.
Both sessions ran for about one and a half hour, after which the volunteers said their goodbyes and left.
