AYLUS Oakland Gardens Waters and Harvest Community Gardens (07/20/2024)

This is the 92th event held by AYLUS Oakland Gardens. On Saturday, July 20, 2024, AYLUS Oakland Gardens went to our community garden to nurture some plants. Everybody had a lot of fun and were all happy that we got to help.

Our members were really excited to start today’s event. As we had a lot of free time on our hands, our members wanted to do something productive that helps our community. Even though we were plagued by mosquitoes, we persevered with the help of bug repellent. We brought our own buckets and used the hose at the site to fill up the buckets. We used them to water the multiple flowerbeds. We used another hose to water the beds directly.

As we were watering the plants, we noticed that our work was bearing fruit and that the plants were starting to reach the zenith of their life. They had many fruits that were ripe/about to be ripe and were getting quite big. Our members were glad that we got to help these plants.

This event was very fun. Everyone had a lot of fun and a bit wet at the end.
