On July 12th members of the RCA branch assisted a local food bank. They started with organizing the bread. They unpacked boxes of bread and sorted them onto different carts. Then they moved onto unpacking cakes, donuts, muffins and other pastries. These were then loaded onto the carts as well. The cakes were moved into the refrigerator. Once finished they worked in the back of the warehouse where they unpacked different items such as flour bags which they loaded into different boxes. They moved onto loading many donation bags with various food items that included pistachios, soup packs and more. Afterwards they disassembled all the empty boxes and stored them away. They cleaned the work area with sanitizing wipes. One of the members then moved onto stapling donation bags with food bank fliers. For the final stretch they packed big donation boxes with various produce from vegetables to fruits and other goodies. They ended their workday with wiping down different work surfaces before heading out.
