On July 7, 2024, members of the AYLUS Bellaire Branch volunteered for trash clean-up at Evelyn’s Park from 7-8pm.
Shortly before Hurricane Beryl’s arrival, in the brief period when the rain had ceased, members of the AYLUS Bellaire Branch wore gloves and used old plastic grocery bags to collect trash around Evelyn’s Park. Volunteers collected plastic cups, plastic straws, plastic bottles, confetti, paper, food waste, and other bits. Some of the volunteers found glass bottles and wet clothes, which were taken care of immediately.
