AYLUS Great Neck Branch volunteers at Steppingstone Park (9th) 6/30/24

On June 30th, we were very happy to once again have the opportunity to volunteer in Steppingstone park. Located in our local community — and having a great view of the Long Island Sound, large playground, and indoor play center — it’s a favorite for many Great Neck families.

We had 15 volunteers — people who instead of lazing around in the break, sacrificed their time and effort in improving the park by removing weeds.  For two hours, we went around the park, removing weeds from various areas: flowerbeds, areas around trees, and places under bushes.

Through our undertaking of this task, we have shown our commitment to bettering our environment and town, making our neighborhood park and our community a place that we could proudly call our own.

People who participated: Xingchen Jin, Guangqi Lu, Austin Yang, Sabrina Yang, Kevin Li, Henry Li, Brandon Li, Tiffany Zhang, Jason Zhang, Qishen Han, Cianyu Chien, Siwoo Song, Xingzhi Li, Ian Tong (2.5 hours)

Ankie Huang (1.5 hours)
