On June 29, 2024, Murrieta AYLUS members volunteered at the A Brush with Kindness program.
They arrived early in the morning to beat the heat, immediately starting on the frame of the house. They separated into different elevations, with some on ladders to cover the higher spots that volunteers on foot couldn’t reach. After some painting, the volunteers were called for a safety meeting. They then returned to work and finished one of the sides of the house, before moving into the back area. After the back was completed the volunteers moved to the other elevated side of the home, painting along the wall and the doorway. They moved over to the shed, coating the sides with paint and taking a break in the middle. After the break, the volunteers finished off the shed and checked over the work on the main home, before folding up the tarps and removing the tape.
