On June 15th, five dedicated members of AYLUS Pearland continued their successful summer
art lessons as they strived to nurture young artistic talent (ranging from ages 3-13) within the
Pearland community. This class was dedicated to practicing last week’s knowledge, sketching,
and pencil values, as students applied these newly learned skills through a realistic dog
drawing.
After the instructional lesson, the class took a well-deserved break. Chips and drinks were
provided, giving the children a chance to socialize and discuss their artwork with their peers.
During the second half of the class, the assistants introduced a fun activity in celebration of
Father’s Day. Cards were printed out and stickers, colors, and other decorations were laid out
for kids to experiment with. Every student designed such creative and loving cards, many of
which were even gifted away!
The session was met with great enthusiasm. Some new faces joined and returning participants
too expressed happiness with the day's engaging environment fostered by the AYLUS Pearland
members.
Overall, this second session of our summer art lessons was a resounding success!!
