On June 18, 2024, Pearland volunteers continued their support for the Special Needs Caring Center’s (SNCC) Day Hab program. They began by assisting the center’s instructors with an arts and crafts lesson, engaging participants in creative activities to enhance their artistic skills and self-expression.
After the arts and crafts session, the volunteers took the lead in teaching bucket drumming. Recognizing that the students had varying levels of experience, the volunteers divided them into groups based on their skill levels. They then taught each group to play a “happy song,” ensuring that every participant could engage and enjoy the activity at their own pace. The session was filled with rhythm, music, and joy, fostering a fun and inclusive environment for all involved.
