On 6/22/24 memebers of AYLUS syosset went to Heckscher State Park to celebrate 100 years of State Parks on Long Island and to help kids and families learn about the joy that Long Island Parks have provided in each decade from the 1920s to 2020s. Each booth features historical photos, a kid-friendly craft, an outdoor game, and information about the parks that were opened to the public in that decade. For example in the 1950s there was a vintage car. This was a family-friendly event which helped a lot of families learn about the history.
