On 6/12/2024, Aylus Great Neck hosted its weekly tutoring session for nearby students in the Great Neck Library Station Branch.
Our volunteers helped two different students today who both needed assistance with math. Kalli Zhu and Katie Yang helped a fifth grade student finish her homework and move onto learning additional sixth grade level math. Since Xingzhi Li and Siwoo Song were both at the library, they helped Kalli and Katie with the fifth grade student later on in the hour. Elaine Xing helped a sixth grade student do his math homework.
We also had an adult student come to learn English; Siying Chen read the newspaper with her.
By 5:30PM, we finished up and said goodbye to our students.
