On June 8, 2024, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. The Great Neck branch of AYLUS volunteered at a home run by the Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County(CP Nassau) which many participants enjoyed. First, we started with a popular baking activity where participants helped by cracking eggs, stirring the batter, and pouring the ingredients. Then we played a game of bingo, which the participants seemed to particularly enjoy, as some even played with two bingo cards. After bingo, we decorated picture frames with paint, stickers, and the names and photos of the participants. We then played a quick and fun game of Connect 4 with two residents on either side, before decorating cupcakes with baby blue icing and rainbow sprinkles. Overall, it was a wonderful day for the participants and the volunteers.
