Reported by Jessica Lu :
On June 6th, 2024, Murrieta AYLUS helped their local food bank.
Upon arrival, members signed in and donned gloves before beginning their tasks. Members were given a couple boxes of breads and desserts to sort out into their categories. Following this, they moved on to sorting produce. Members carefully inspected each box for any rotten fruits or vegetables, which were then set aside for disposal for the pigs. The healthy produce would be sorted into their appropriate crate, which would later be picked out for food boxes/daily food bags. After going through 2 full racks of produce, members decided to take a water break. Then, they assisted in unloading incoming food donations from cars, weighing the items, and organizing them before placing them in the freezer.
