The Plantation Branch of AYLUS has hosted a shoe drive in order to raise funds for a local wheelchair basketball team, the Fort Lauderdale Sharks. Beginning since about two months ago, members of AYLUS have worked together with ProjectKix to collect new and gently used shoes from members of the community, placing donation boxes in areas such as the community commons and the local Chinese school. So far, members have raised 120 pairs of shoes and plan to continue the drive.
