On 5/24/24, West Essex branch volunteered at the first annual Livingston AAPI Heritage month picnic at the Livingston Memorial Oval. Members helped setting up and hosting The Livingston Committee for Diversity and Inclusion (LCDI), in collaboration with the Livingston NJ AAPI Committee and Livingston AAPI Youth Alliance, hosted its inaugural AAPI Heritage Month picnic on Friday, May 24 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Livingston Memorial Oval.
The event showcased traditional performances and interactive exhibits, highlighting the rich tapestry of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) culture while fostering dialogue and understanding among attendees. Families, friends and neighbors are invited to partake in the festivities, which also included vendor tables, community networking opportunities, and more.
