AYLUS Oyster Bay proceeds with the “Seeding Program” from May 6 to 13, 2024.
In early May, we coordinated with the Oyster Bay Main Street Association for the Seeding Program. We received 50 seeding boxes containing marigold and zinnia seeds from the association. Christina contributed 28 seeding boxes to the Portledge School’s Green Club for planting on campus. She also delivered the remaining seedling boxes to members for planting at their homes.
After four weeks, AYLUS Oyster Bay will organize the planting of the seedlings in a garden. The members who planted seeds at home will bring their sprouted plants to plant in the dirt. We encourage our members to develop a love for planting, learn to enjoy it, appreciate plants, cherish life, and contribute to protecting the natural ecosystem.
Gratitude to the following 8 young volunteers, totaling 17 volunteer hours collectively.
