On Thursday, May 16th, volunteers from the AYLUS Columbus Branch helped make and set up balloon decorations for the Columbus Asian Festival Gala at The Exchange at Bridge Park. The Gala helps to kickoff and initiate fundraisers for the Asian Festival, which celebrates a diverse range of Asian cultures in a series of performances, demonstrations, activities, and more. Volunteers inflated and tied hundreds of balloons and organized them into arches and columns to decorate the venue. After the event, volunteer Katie Lu helped to take apart and clean up the decoration materials.
Xiaojuan Chen, Yanling Zhang, Yonghuo Yin, Na Li, and Wenzhe Lu were the adult supervisors who also helped with making balloons and cleaning up.
