On Saturday, May 4th 2024, members of the Frisco-Plano AYLUS branch volunteered at AsiaFest, an Asian American heritage festival which is hosted in downtown Plano, Texas. Volunteers ran two booths: one booth sold gemstone bracelets, rings, and balloon animals, along with offering face painting services, while the other booth ran drawing and calligraphy lessons. Volunteers received donations and proceeds which will be used to support the Africa library project. Some members stayed after the festival to help clean up the Park. Overall, the event went very well! All of our volunteers worked extremely hard during and after the festival.
