This program’s goal is to provide English guidance to the elderly who do not know much English. Volunteers are needed for 1 on 1 tutoring sessions. By helping these elderly improve their English, the goal is to make communication smoother and life easier for them.
Other sessions had the use of educational material targeted specifically for ESL seniors. Volunteers explained what each words meant and how to use it in the context of a sentence, and demonstrated proper pronunciation.
Other volunteers helped vulnerable communities by mapping their locations to assist organizations in delivering aid more effectively.
AYLUS volunteers identified and marked buildings, roads, and natural features in remote areas, helping to fill critical gaps in existing maps. The data generated through these sessions is then made available to humanitarian organizations worldwide
