on April 28th, West Essex members volunteered with Livingston Chinses Association (LCA) at their Civil Engagement series event.
The LCA hosted the inaugural session of Civil Engagement series, where community members connected with leaders to explore the vital roles of poll workers and the broader election process. Special thanks to Essex County Clerk Chris Durkin and Livingston Township Clerk Carolyn Mazzucco for their informative presentations on poll working. Our esteemed panelists, Assemblywoman Rosaura Rosy Bagolie, Essex County Commissioner Patricia Sebold, and Town Council Member Ketan Bhuptani, offered profound insights, enriching our understanding from legislative and administrative perspectives. Amy Ipp and Robin Weiss, Co-Chairs of the League of Women Voters, also joined as honored guests, along with Parul Aneja Khemkaa , and contributed greatly to the discussion. We were also pleased to have Deputy Mayor Ed Meinhardt, who, despite his last-minute confirmation, made it to address the gathering.
