On Monday, April 29, 2024, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM, the Aylus Greater Triangle hosted its second concert for the residents of Brier Pointe Retirement Community. The event was presided over by Sky Tianyi Han, the president of Aylus Greater Triangle, and Ria Wu, the co-president, and took place on a teacher workday, enabling young musicians to participate.
The concert included a variety of performances, featuring classical and modern pieces for piano, violin, and clarinet, along with taekwondo demonstrations. Performers included violinist Ria Wu playing “Merry Go Round of Life,” Alex with “Czardas” on violin, and Michael Chen on clarinet with “Gavotte.” Pianist Haochen Guo performed “Polonaise in G Minor” and “Toccata in F Minor.” Kenny Zheng played piano, and Vinson Shao combined piano music with taekwondo. Violinist Kathy Zhang performed Bach’s “Concerto in A Minor,” and Zhe Wang added stand-up comedy to the mix.
The event received an enthusiastic response, with many residents expressing their joy and a desire for monthly concerts. This highlights the significant role of music and cultural activities in enhancing community spirit and bringing joy to retirement settings. Aylus Greater Triangle plans to continue these events to strengthen community bonds and enhance well-being.
