In April, Aylus in Chatham volunteers hosted an event in promoting Judge Wendy Li’s campaign for the next Surrogate Judge for Queens New York City. As the role model for our young generation, we admire Judge Wendy Li as an Asian, Woman, first generation candidate, who has great courage in campaigning for the Judge.
The event was held at Han Academy (432 Springfield Ave, Berkeley Heights, NJ 07922) on April 20th Saturday 2024.
Throughout the afternoon, guests enjoyed the inspiring discussions, engaging presentations, networking opportunities, and live music performance.
The dedicated volunteer leaders and organizers, Xiang Li(“Shining”) from Newark Academy, Kelly Nie from Chatham Middle School, Owen Lin from Westfield High School and other High schoolers and middle schoolers spent months initiating, planning the support, and coordinating to setup, assistance during the event, and cleanup on site. As the hosts of the event, Xiang Li (“Shining”) & Kelly Nie’s efforts were instrumental in creating a welcoming and memorable experience for all attendees.
