December Delight: AYLUS Rancho Cucamonga Volunteers Bring Cheer to ALFC Generosity Center (12/02/2023)
On December 2, 2023, the ALFC Generosity Center became a place of joy and community spirit, thanks to the AYLUS Rancho Cucamonga Branch volunteers. Twelve dynamic middle and high school students joined forces to contribute to a food distribution event, aiming to bring a little extra happiness to their community during the holiday season.
The volunteers arrived at the center at 8:00 AM, ready for a day filled with meaningful work. Their primary task was to organize and distribute a wide array of food items to ensure that everyone who visited left with something special for the holiday season. From setting up distribution tables to managing the flow of recipients, the volunteers handled every challenge with enthusiasm and efficiency.
The day was bustling with activity as the volunteers moved swiftly, filling bags and boxes with an assortment of food items. Their efforts were fueled by a shared commitment to making a difference, demonstrating the incredible impact of young individuals working together towards a common goal.
By the time the event wrapped up at 12:30 PM, the volunteers had not only distributed an impressive amount of food but had also spread warmth and goodwill among the community members. It was a heartwarming sight to see the smiles and hear the words of thanks from those they had helped.
The dedicated volunteers who participated were Jiayi Bai, Mingdong Qiu, Xinnuo Huang, Zihao Zhang, Bryan Wang, Xinyu Huang, Ryan Wang, Waiki Hou, Elvis Wang, Yixuan Yuan, Haoyu Zhang, and Yixin Qian.
Everyone’s volunteer service time is 5 hours.
