AYLUS Rancho Cucamonga Branch participated in food dietribution on 11/20/2023
On November 20, 2023, as Thanksgiving approached, the festive spirit was palpable. We participated in a volunteer activity to distribute food to residents of a senior apartment complex. This event, organized jointly by HOPE and Feeding America, is held monthly at various senior apartments. On this particular day, our task as volunteers was to set up tables with food items for the elderly residents. Each tray contained a variety of food items, carefully arranged to reflect the Thanksgiving theme.
As the residents began to arrive, they were delighted to receive the trays of food. The atmosphere was filled with warmth and love, and we felt proud to be a part of such a meaningful volunteer activity. The decorations in the dining area were also thoughtfully arranged to enhance the festive ambiance.
Participating in this volunteer activity were Yongxi Hu, who contributed five hours of service, and Ryan Kan, who also dedicated five hours. Being able to spread joy and make a positive difference in the lives of the elderly residents was a rewarding experience for all of us. We look forward to continuing to participate in such meaningful volunteer opportunities in the future.
