AYLUS Rancho Cucamonga Branch participated in the Founders Day event on 11/11/2023
On November 11, 2023, Rancho Cucamonga City celebrated its Founders Day, marking the official establishment of our city in 1977. Every second Saturday of November, our city commemorates this occasion with grand festivities known as the Founders Day Parade. Each year, various organizations, departments, and schools in our city come together to participate in the parade, creating an atmosphere of unparalleled excitement and joy.
We arrived at the event venue bright and early at 7:00 AM to make preparations for the day’s activities. As the clock struck 9:00 AM, the parade commenced, and we were tasked once again with leading the procession with our balloon formation. This year, we proudly displayed a majestic eagle balloon, which garnered enthusiastic cheers from the spectators lining the streets. Following behind us were the marching bands from our city’s three high schools, all dressed in festive attire and delivering exceptional performances.
In addition to the high school bands, various other organizations, including the police department, fire department, and dance troupes, joined the parade, showcasing their cultural diversity through traditional costumes and captivating performances. It was a sight to behold as the procession moved through the streets, captivating the hearts of onlookers with its vibrant displays.
Among the volunteers participating in this memorable event were Yongxi Hu, who dedicated 5 hours, and Ryan Kan, who contributed 4 hours of service. As the parade concluded, we reflected on the success of the day and expressed our hope to continue participating in this magnificent event in the years to come.
The Founders Day Parade not only celebrates the rich history and heritage of our city but also fosters a sense of unity and community spirit among its residents. It serves as a reminder of the values and principles that bind us together as proud members of Rancho Cucamonga City.
