On April 13, 2024, four members of the AYLUS Bellaire volunteered at Bread of Life warehouse along with others to provide essential life supplies to the disadvantaged. Each volunteer completed 4 hours of working.
During 9-13, volunteers served as various jobs in the warehouse. There are 3 groups in total, the sorting group, the packing group and the recycling group. We mainly worked on the latter two.
For the packing group, each volunteer works in a role on a packing assembly line. Together the volunteers packed different life supplies into boxes, including hand soap, batteries, shampoo, tooth brush, tooth paste, body wash, tissues, etc. For the recycling group, volunteers are responsible for breaking down the leftover paper and recycling them.
In total the volunteers completed 5 pallets of supplies, approximately 600+ boxes.
