In our ongoing commitment to supporting the Yale Community Kitchen and those in need, members of AYLUS Woodbridge recently participated in another service shift. On April 13, despite inclement weather, our volunteers enthusiastically joined efforts to ensure that over 120 individuals received essential meals and support.
The event commenced with our team assisting in setting up a tent to provide shelter from the rain, ensuring the comfort and well-being of both volunteers and recipients. Once preparations were complete, we seamlessly transitioned into the heart of the service shift, actively engaging in the distribution of food to those in need. This hands-on involvement allowed us to directly impact the lives of individuals facing food insecurity, fostering connections and providing much-needed nourishment.
As the event concluded, our commitment extended to the cleanup phase, with volunteers diligently working to restore the space to its original condition. Through our collective efforts, we reaffirm AYLUS Woodbridge’s dedication to supporting our community’s most vulnerable members and fostering a sense of compassion and solidarity for all.
