On April 13th, 2024, 6 members of the AYLUS Morrisville Branch volunteered at the 2024 NC Science Olympiad State Tournament at North Carolina State University. This tournament allows elementary, middle, and high schoolers across the state to participate in science challenges in a multitude of categories. With a total of around 6,000 teams across the nation, Science Olympiad is a crucial part of K-12 STEM education. The top two Division B and Division C teams at the state tournament advanced to the National tournament this year. Our volunteers were integral during the awards process, helping set up chairs and giving awards to the top 10 placers in each category in both divisions. We had a great time at the event and enjoyed helping promote STEM education.
