On March 29, 2024, after securing a meeting room at the Melville Public Library, our members gathered and organized the items intended for donation to the Portledge School Gala, scheduled for April 11, 2024. These items will be auctioned during the gala to benefit the school foundation. We carefully curated eco-friendly products, including biodegradable plastic lunch boxes, compostable trash bags with dispensers, natural bamboo toothbrushes, wood pulp wash sponges, organic bamboo cotton swabs, biodegradable utensils sets, straw cleaner brushes and cable clips. These items were thoughtfully assembled into sets and placed in five baskets, wrapped in transparent packaging paper adorned with environmentally themed stickers and tied with ribbons. Additionally, we generously donated a significant number of jewelry pieces, each elegantly arranged in transparent jewelry boxes. In total, we contributed nearly 100 items. Our efforts not only support the school but also promote awareness for environmental protection.
