The AYLUS Dix Hills branch volunteered with Island Harvest to provide food for lower-income families and seniors at Glen Cove senior center. Volunteers counted, packed up, and distributed several types of items to those who came to the center, providing food for those who needed it. Food items contained eggs, corn, beets, pineapples, and peppers. Volunteers would periodically give out the food at various times to ensure that those who needed it more were given priority. Volunteers worked from 9:30 to 11:30 to distribute food to people.
