On March 25th, 2024, Murrieta AYLUS members helped out their local food bank, the Community Mission of Hope. As usual for Mondays, the members worked mainly on receiving and sorting donations. The donations from supermarkets and bakeries were weighed first before being sorted through. The members worked together in going through the produce, putting out ones that were still fresh and throwing out anything that had gone bad. The members then sorted through the boxes of baked goods, separating desserts and bread, and then further separating the bread into breakfast, sliced, rolls, and flatbreads. The members moved quickly between receiving donations and organizing food on shelves and in refrigerators. Before they knew it, they were finished with their work.
