On March 23, 2023, AYLUS volunteers participated in the Asian culture festival in McKinney, Texas. We set up a vendor’s stall and sold hand-made bracelets, rings, balloons and face painted children. All of our profits will be donated to children with cancer at the Children’s Medical Center in Plano. This event was very successful, many volunteers helped face paint and sell bracelets. The volunteering event proved to be a rewarding experience that cultivated teamwork skills and promoted AYLUS spirit, and an opportunity for our AYLUS volunteers to advertise and collaborate/communicate with each other. Overall, We sold a great number of bracelets and rings to customers, even selling out on a couple of popular ones, like the amethyst bracelet. All of our proceeds will be donated to the Children’s Medical Center Foundation in Plano (giving@childrens.com, 214-456-8360).
