On Sunday, March 17th, the Great Neck Branch of AYLUS held its first ever member recruitment/informational session event. This event was held at the main branch of the Great Neck Library from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. All officers attended the meeting and talked about the various parts of AYLUS. More than 80 people attended the meeting, and we gained many new members, who were interested in this program. The volunteers went through the whole program once in English, and another time in Chinese, to help as many people as possible to understand the goals of AYLUS. While this event only lasted two hours on this Sunday, the officers of the Great Neck Branch had been planning this event for over three months, working hard to prepare a presentation and speeches to appeal to many people. The officers got the chance to introduce themselves to many new members, and everyone got to learn more about AYLUS. The presentation lasted for more than an hour, with enough time for a Q&A session at the end.
