AYLUS Bellaire volunteered at Bellaire High School the first Robotic Team Garage Sale on March 16, 2024

On Saturday, March 16, AYLUS Bellaire volunteered at the FIRST Robotics Team Garage Sale
in the Methodist Church parking lot, to help raise funds for Team 2585’s materials, robotics competitions, and later events.
Volunteers helped set up the canopy, the jewelry table, and unloaded and set up different items by sections. These included shoes, clothing, sports equipment, household items, toys, books,
and jewelry. Afterward, members helped attract customers by holding up signs on street intersections, advertising to people in the nearby park and church, and going door-to-door to sell chips and accept donations. When the garage sale ended, AYLUS volunteers helped box unsold items and load them onto vehicles. Then, they helped take down the canopy and picked up trash.
Beyond the garage sale, it’s important to maintain the areas where these events are held. Regular upkeep, including checking the garage doors for any issues, can make future setups smoother and safer.
