On Saturday, March 2, Murrieta AYLUS members recycled bottles and cans to raise money for charity.
Arriving early at the recycling center, the volunteers separated their bottles and cans into groups. They counted out 50 plastic bottles and 40 cans, then separated the rest of the plastics, the glass bottles, and scrap plastics into different bins. After weighing, the volunteers earned $11.09 for their work that’ll go towards food for animals in local animal shelters.

On March 26th, 2024, Murrieta AYLUS members hosted a recycling event to raise money for their local animal shelter. Over the past couple of weeks, the members had been collecting plastic bottles and cans in bags to be recycled. They counted the bottles and placed 50 in a bag. For the rest, they sorted out the plastics, glass bottles, and cans, and further separated the plastics into their different types. The members then exchanged them for money from the recycling center.
