On Monday, February 19, Murrieta AYLUS members lended a hand to the Community Mission of Hope food bank.
The volunteers started their day with washing vegetable crates, scrubbing the crates individually with dish soap before running them under the sink for a rinse. This proved to be tedious, so the volunteers hooked up the power washer and redid the operation outside, pausing for breaks and to refill the dish soap mixture. Amongst the washing, vans of donations arrived, and the volunteers stepped away from washing to unload the vans and weigh the produce before storing. After all of the produce was put away and all the crates were put out to dry, the volunteers bid goodbye.
