On 2/6/2024, Aylus Great Neck hosted another tutoring session for another student. Our volunteer Kevin Zhang and his student arrived at the Great Neck Station Library Branch at about 4:30PM.
Our volunteer helped his student with a few different topics, like mathematics, learning English as a new language, and the sciences.
After about an hour, our volunteer said goodbye and left.
2/7/2024
On 2/7/2024, Aylus Great Neck continued to host its board game / tutoring sessions for young students in general. We met at the Great Neck Library Station Branch at about 4:30PM.
Our volunteers, Ruiqi Liu, Kevin Zhang, and Katie Wang helped organize a Monopoly game with our student and a previous student from our Sunday sessions. In the time in between turns, Ruiqi helped our student with their math homework, and checked it over for any errors.
Since we did not use the speed die, we were nowhere close to finishing the game by the end of the hour. Regardless, we tallied up the total amounts of money that each player ended with, and left after the hour.
