On February 4th, AYLUS volunteers helped out at the Frisco City Hall for the 2024 Lunar New Year Gala. We split up in groups, with some introducing the guests as well as advertising for our sponsors and AYLUS, while the rest of us helped the guests with finding their tables and splitting their tickets for a lottery prize towards the end. While the table numbers were rather unorganized we managed to write down generally where everything was and helped the guests find their seats. We had some issues when guests started getting tables that were already full but we managed to calm their concerns and it turned out okay in the end.
Afterwards we made popcorn outside for the guests and got to experience the show itself! Our branch has been receiving lots of members lately, so many of us saw each other for the very first time and got to know each other once the chaos was over. Overall the event was a lot of fun and went smoothly. We even got to see some of our leaders go on stage!
